Jan 18, 2011

In the Tuesday Nite Go-Getters, Tony Dompe led the League with a 666 series, with games consisting of 202, 260, and a 204. The 260 game was 75 pins over his game average. Great job Tony. Other Go-Getter activity includes Maggie Birge rolling a 224, 68 pins over her average, and 103 pins over her series average.  She also picked up the4-7-10 split. Other bowlers to pick up splits were Charlie Tiffin with a 3-6-7-10 conversion. Bub Tiffin picked up the 5-6, while Dot McDaniel snagged the 5-10. Right next to the Go-Getters  is the 332 league, and it looks like they had a great night.    Noel Woods rolled a 194, 59 pins over his average. Joe Cox rolled a 256, 61 pins over his average, and other  games of  173, and 212, giving him a 641 series, 56 pins over his series average.  Teddy Carter rolled games of 224, 226, and 189, for a total of 639, 78 pins over his series average.  Jacky Williams rolled 60 pins over his average with a 244. Will Thornsbrough rolled a 247, 85 pins over his average, and games of 198, and 186 for a series of631, 145 pins over his series average.  Will also had an oddity happen. When he recently tried to pick up the 8-9 split, he clipped the 8 pin as he should on the left side, knocking it over to the 9. Problem was when the pins made contact, the 9 pin moved to the right about a foot, but continued to stand.  Dennis Farrell rolled a 244, 64 pins over his average. Not to be outdone, Ed Stone, earned a 246, 78 pins over his average.  In the split department, Bob Brandt picked up both the 4-9, and the 5-10. Dalton Madsen snared the 3-8.
In the Senior League, Sandy West tallied 50 or more pins above her average. The Monday Night Mixed League at Bulan’s Sandi Burke rolled a 228 and a 625 series. In the Sunday Nite Mixed League at Bulans, Larry Brewer rolled 723 series, and Bob White got 50 or more pins above with a 243. Jeremy Schrader  converted the 3-6-7 pickup and Justin Richison  got the 6-7 pickup. Some great scores folks.
High scores this week go out to a sub. Yes,  Lynsey Jackson rolled a high game of 267 which was 90 pins over her average,  and a slightly lower one of 247, which was 67 pins over,  to compile a 694 series in the Monday Night Mixed League at Bulan’s Bowl.  She carries a 177 average. I bet she won’t be a sub for very long. Rich McFarland totaled up a 677 series. Brenda Stuebe rolled 52 pins over her 130 average, and Cindy Esworthy bowled a 220, 71 pins over.
Finally, scores reported in the Monday Night Church No-Tap league:  Sue Strong had a 689 series. Bowlers  that were 50 or more pins over their average consisted of  Joe Williams,  79 over, Brad Wheeler had 72, while Jerry Wolfe was 64 over, Lynnse Gondzur topped out at 73 over, and June Kinney with 55 over her game average..
Rule 7c . Replacement of Pins
Should a pin be broken or otherwise badly damaged during the game, it shall be replaced at once by another pin as nearly uniform in weight and condition with the set in use. The league or tournament officials shall determine whether pins shall be replaced. A broken pin does not change the score made by the bowler. The pins knocked down are counted, after which the broken pin is replaced.

Until next week, let’s have fun and knock ‘em down.
