Feb 2, 2011

Rich McFarland rolled a 300 game…..again, at Bulan’s Bowl this past Thursday. That makes 2 times in the last 2 months, and his 12th perfect game over all in his bowling career. This time, as before, he rolled this milestone event on lanes 1 and 2. Speaking of lanes 1 & 2, on Dec 18th, 2005, Rich and his wife Dorothy were united in marriage, and they call 1 & 2, their lucky lanes. On the day of their marriage, Rich bowled in the Budweiser Tournament which he won. Rich has actually bowled 4 300 games on that pair of lanes. Also on those lanes, Dorothy has bowled 2 Dutch 200 games, 6 weeks apart in 2006. So far this year Dorothy has raised her average from 160 to 171, with 2 games, 50 or more pins above her average.
In the Tuesday Nite Go-Getters, Houston Key rolled 56 pins over his average. Terry Moreman picked up 3-10 split, as did Mac McDaniel. Fred Fultz converted the 4-5.  In the Westville Tuesday morning Ladies League, Phyllis Rutan, a 153 average bowler, rolled a 221, 58 pins over her average. The 332 league reports Will Thornsbrough rolled 50 pins over, with a 221. Tim Price rolled a 593, 59 pins over his series average, Jon Cox, 92 over series with a 593, and Jim Bond , 119 pins over series, with a 566.

The Monday nite Mixed League at Bulans is telling us that Lynsey Jackson rolled a 631 series, and Marla Troyer rolled 54 pins over her 161 average, with a 215. In the Wednesday DnA Karaoke League, Patty Harrier bowled 62 pins over her average for a 170 game, Susan O'Herron  bowled 66 pins over her average for a 206 game, Dorothy Hesler rolled 52 pins over her average for a 201game, Lisa page totaled  74 pins over her average for a 188 game.    It appears that Rich was not the only one to roll a 300 this past week. Kenny Smith bowled a 300 in the Monday Night Church No-Tap league, closely followed by Jimmy Scruggs with a 275. On the women’s side, Sharon Craft had a 277, and Sue Strong topped out with a 251. The following men had series scores over 275: Robbie Ketcherside 696, Kenny Smith 695, and Jimmy Scruggs with a 689. Don’t let the men fool you though, as Sharon Craft rolled a 717 series. The following bowlers had 50 or more pins over their average:  Kenny Smith-114, Sharon Craft-90, Jimmy Scruggs-72, Mike Jett-57, Karen Hoskins-51, Keenan Jones-98 and Crystal Suchaczewski-52. Robbie Ketcherside converted the 4,7,10 split.
Until next week, let’s have fun and knock ‘em down.
