95 pins over average!!!  That’s right, you read correctly. Steve Lamb, a 150 average bowler, rolled a whopping 245.  Way to go Steve. Steve is in the Tuesday nite Go-Getters. Also in the Tuesday Nite Go-Getters  Tony Dompe rolled a 607 series while Cheryl Rhoton picked up the 4-5-7 split.
Men’s 332 League had 2 600 series rolled. Kevin West with a high 653, and Mark Leverenz with a 607.  Mark actually bowled 70 pins over his series average. Evan Davis rolled 72 pins over his game average.  As for splits, Joe Elliott picked up the 4-5, Greg Miller nailed the 5-7, and Bond, James Bond, wiped out the 6-7-10.
Senior League is reporting that Sandy West picked up the 6-7-9-10, while Ed Reed snagged the 6-7-10 split. It has been reported that Bob Beck may be charged with domestic violence. Bob rolled a 211, while his wife Karen rolled a 210, which is 67 pins over her average. Bob, was heard saying, “well, I still beat her.”  Judy Gebhart wanted to be listed as getting the booby prize this week, as she rolled a low game of 95.  Barb Smith was an unhappy lady. She rolled 3 straight frames leaving the Big 4. No conversions were made in any attempt, and she left with tears in her eyes.  In the category of “almost”, Shirley Miller had the big 4 split, and when she rolled her next ball, she was able to pick up the 4-7 and 6 pins, leaving the pesky 10 pin wiggling in its spot.
Church No-Tap League  We will be reporting no tap leagues a bit differently as they of course bowl with a slight handicap.  For those of you who have never bowled no tap, if you get 9 pins on the first ball, it counts as if you knocked over all 10, giving you a strike.  Keeping that in mind, the following bowlers got scores over 225: Scott Cunningham 277, J.R. Scruggs 265, Ryan Lankster 243, Scott Cunningham 241, Shirley Perryman 234, Mark Roberts 232, Jimmy Scruggs 230, Scott Cunningham 228, and Sue Strong 228
Congratulations to Stan Harvey and Eric Crockett  who placed 1st in the recently concluded Doubles Tournament this past Sunday at Lincoln Lanes. Also placing were 2nd Place Steve Skimehorn + Tony Hafner, 3rd Place Bobby Buford + Lisa McClain, 4th Place Scott Reinken + Jolene Krout, 5th Place Jesse Alvarez + BeBop Tetter.
I want to hear about all games over 225 for the men and 200 for the women, any series over 600,  split pickups, and 50 pins or more over your average. I want to see your name in print. YOU want to see your name in print!!  I would like to see many leagues sending in their results and from all bowling centers in the Illiana area.  I hope to hear from Sycamore lanes in Covington, Bulans, west of town, and Fast Lanes, in Hoopeston.
Bowlers, please make sure your league secretary gets a copy of this news clipping or you can drop me an e-mail to bowlingforfun@comcast.net, and ask for a pdf flier you can print out and give the secretary yourself.
Until next week, let’s have fun and knock ‘em down.
