Great Scores Reported - Dec 11th

     Do hope everyone had a great thanksgiving and are now looking forward to the Christmas holidays coming up.  Thinking about that new bowling ball or two?  Let your loved ones know.
      Hoopeston is reporting some great action this past week, especially with Jacob White picking up the elusive 7-10 split. Dean Kregel led off the Men's league Thursday with a 276-715 series followed by Brandon Hamilton with a 270-730 Series. Chad Bruens had a 267-689 series with 9 in a row only to leave a solid 8 on his 10th ball.
     Geoffery Berlin led the Sunday night mixed with a 263 but Bobby Gossett a young 19 year old got his first 600 with a 647- with games of 221-200-226 on a 168 average. Karen Porth led the ladies with a 236-587. Monday was led by Jennifer Crawley 226-610 and Kelly Thilmoney led the Wednesday night ladies with a 263-635 and Mona Birch with a 221. Helen Taflinger had a 200 game with her 145 average.

     Had some good scores, however nothing beat Jacob White picking up the 7-10 split on Saturday night.      The MS Nail Salon League has a few reports from this past Tuesday. Marti Stanton picked up the 5-7 split, while Donna Rayhel converted the 3-6-7.  Pam Foehrer bowled a 151 game and earned the 10 award. Two bowlers earned the 175 award, Brenda Lomax, with a 193, and Sandy West with a 176.
     Our Covington report has Judy Gebhart picking up the 3-9-10, Aaron Howard, the 5-7, Beth Barnes, Kevin Barns, and Rose Schaefold all picking up the 3-10. Kevin Barnes rolled a 607 series (203-204-200), Scott Reinken 679 (232-247-200) and Lea Arnold 609 (215-203-191). Jean Clifton bowled a 194 with a 126 average for 68 over, Janet McMasters bowled a 236 with a 177 average for 61 over and Katrina Edwards bowled a 193-189-235 for 617 with a 174 average. The 235 was 61 over.
     In Senior League action, Susan Brookins rolled 67 pins over her average for a 169. She also bowled a 411 series, 105 pins over her series norm. Ella Miller shot a 214, 74 pins over, while Martha Elliott topped her average by 52 pins, with a 193.  Splits for the day include Laura Baird with the 5-6-10, Tuck Miller, with the 4-5, Ernie Harvey with the 5-7, Jim Thomas, the 4-7-9. John Ramsey, the 3-6-7-10, Micahel Seward, the 3-7-10, and Judy Gebhart with the 4-5-7.
     Finishing up with the Tuesday Nite Go Getter action, Jon Castle, 46 above with a 193. Houston Key 56 over, also with a 209. Ella Miller, 54 over with a 185, and 40 over for a 171.  She was also over her series by 111 pins.  Tracy Smith was 44 pins over average with a 206.  Converting splits were Dot McDaniel, 5-7; Maggie Birge 3-9-10; Lisa Moudy 5-7; Joe Pascal 5-7; Jon Castle 2-4-10 and 5-7-9, and Darlene Edwards, 5-7. Rosematy Puzey, the 5-10. Irvin Summers knocked out the 5-7 to finish out the night.
