Oct 15th, 2015 - Did I just foul...or not?

What is a foul? Most of you know, but in case some one is a bit curious, that’s when your foot crosses the foul line you are bowling on, or crosses the foul line on the alley adjacent to yours.  Also, if your foot or hand touches anything on the other side of the foul line.  Take example, if you touch the wall at Lincoln lanes next to lane 20.  If you touch the wall on the other side of the foul line, it is a foul, but if you touch the wall next to the approach, it is NOT a foul.  If you touch the poles located between 10 & 11, it is a foul. Think of an imaginary line going from the foul line up the walls on either side of the bowling center.  That should give you a clearer picture.

Calling all tournament directors. Want your tourney advertised? If that’s the case, just drop me a note, and we will try and get your info out there. It would be best if you got your info to me 3 or 4 weeks in advance of that event.  When the tourney is over, don’t forget to send the results.
To all League Secretaries.  Think about giving your bowlers the recognition they deserve. Think of all the high games, and series they are rolling?
That’s it for this week. Thanks to all who submitted info for this week’s column. Remember, you can get all the columns by checking out Tuck’s Bowling for Fun blog at: http://tucksbowlingforfun.blogspot.com
