Sirrat rolls another 300!! February 19th, 2015


   
      The last we heard, is that Association officials will be coming to the lanes and allowing bowlers to cast their votes for the members of the new board, which will be merged with both the men and women’s association. Only members in sanctioned leagues will be allowed to cast a ballot.
      Kyle Sirrat is at the top of his game, as he rolled his third 300 game in the last 3 weeks. He bowled his last one during Mutual League play on Tuesday night.
    Congrats goes out to Bobby Fauver for shooting a 297 game this past Saturday night in the MeHarry league at Lincoln Lanes.   Also, congrats to Donnie Cheesman for shooting a 770 and Derrick Hufford for shooting 804 in the Friday night mixed league. Cody Jumps with 11 in a row for 279, 135 over at Sycamore Lanes in Covington.
    The Friday Night League at Sycamore Lanes in Covington, Duane Schaeffhold bowled a 197-162-197-556 with 144 average, while Ted Pearman shot a 229, for 51 over. Brooke Hughes rolled a 132, for 54 over, while Roger Gossett knocked out a 212, for 54 over. Ron Cates had games of 188-227-176 for a 591 series. Taking care of the splits were Travis Edwards picked up the 2-4-6-10, while Lea Arnold picked up the 4-5-7.  
     In the Senior League Margo Johnson bowled a 181 game which was 54 pins over. She also bowled a 500 series which was 119 pins over her series total.  Judy Arnett shot a 186 game which was 50 pins, while Tuck Miller rolled a 212 game, 70 pins over. Houston Key knocked out a 213 game, 56 pins over, as  Bub Tiffin shot a 267 game, which was 111 pins as he bowled a 625 series, 157 pins over.
Splits:  5-7 Ernie Harvey, Greg Miller, Bub Tiffin and Tuck Miller;  6-7-10  Judy Arnett 5-6-10  Bill McDaniel: 3-5-10 John Gebhart; 5-7-8 Fred Fultz; 4-5 Bob Coburn; 5-10 Laura Baird and the 5-8-10, Pam Jeffers. 
     Tuesday Nite Go Getter’s:  Several good games this past week. Darlene Edwards was 65 over with a 180, and Steve Lamb was 64 above with games of 215, and 192. Those scores were 64 and 41 pins over respectively. Stan Harvey had a 649 series, 103 over series average, which included a 243 game. Charlie Tiffin was not only 41 pins over his game average with a 186 game, but 104 pins above his series norm. Rosemary Puzey was 46 over, while Tuck Miller had a 172, Ray Rogers, a 226, and Charlie Tiffin with a186, all 41 above. Di Summers was also 41 above with a 157. The Misfit’s team also achieved the highest team score for the season with a 913 game. This was without handicap. Split conversions were: 5-10 Keith Carter, and Gary Holycross; 5-7 Fred Fultz and Sue Strong; 4-9 Bub Tiffin, and the 2-7-8, Martha Elliott.
       MS Nail Salon League: Sue Strong bowled a 212 in a 589 series and Sharon Craft bowled a 199. Virginia Ferpotto rolled a 165 while Pam Foehrer shot a 150.;
      Westville’s Monday Morning Ladies League has had recent scores or split conversions of: Marilyn Tuggle, was 60 pins over average with a174, Barb Smith, a 162, 58 pins over, and Sandy Stephenson, 59 over with a 167. Split conversions included: 5-10 Alicia Rouse, Mary Seilhymer, and Nicole Waterman; 2-10 Judy Mariage; 3-9-10 Laura Baird; 2-7-8 Jo Ann Brooks; 5-8-10 and Alverta Maskel; Baird 2-7-10.
       Reporting from Fast Lanes in Hoopeston. City Tournament results have been posted and are a follows: Ladies Doubles, Judie Rush & Jodie Bullock 1st, 2nd Patty Lowe & Linda Vanburke. Singles Judie Rush, All Events Jennifer Crawley, 2nd Karen Porth. Men’s Team, Silgan Containers, Dave Gaddis, Mike Dean, Steve Bruens, and Hank Longfellow. Doubles: Bob & Brandon Hamilton, 2nd Mike Edwards & Geoffery Berlin. Singles: Randy Hiltz, 2nd Doug Wagoner. All Events, Randy Hiltz, 2nd Bob Hamilton. All Events Scratch: Brandon Hamilton 2013, Doug Wagoner 1977.
    As for league play it was the Thursday afternoon ladies being led by Linda Vanburke's 224 games. Will Bruens league was led by Doug Goble's 276-680 series with a 178 average followed by Gary Toelstede, Randy Hiltz  and Bob Hamilton 257, while Brandon Hamiltons shot a 671. Sunday Night Mixed was led by Geoffery Berlins 700 series and Todd Rush's 259. Karen Porth led the ladies with a 222, 597 series.
       Fast Lanes is having a kids rock and bowl for the athletic booster club this Saturday starting at 7:00
