What
is a foul? Most of you know, but in case some one is a bit curious, that’s when
your foot crosses the foul line you are bowling on, or crosses the foul line on
the alley adjacent to yours. Also, if
your foot or hand touches anything on the other side of the foul line. Take example, if you touch the wall at Lincoln lanes next to
lane 20. If you touch the wall on the
other side of the foul line, it is a foul, but if you touch the wall next to
the approach, it is NOT a foul. If you
touch the poles located between 10 & 11, it is a foul. Think of an
imaginary line going from the foul line up the walls on either side of the bowling
center. That should give you a clearer
picture.
In Go Getter action, Susan Brookins was 45
over with a 143, while Kaitlyn Hankey shot 72 over for a 238. John Mikel rolled
56 over for a 211. Harl Miller topped his average by 42 by scoring a 168. Ray
Rogers was 106 pins over his series average for a 658, and also51 pins over
game average with a 238. Jim Miller shot a 279, 48 pins over, and he also shot
a 300 game in Champaign
this past Monday night.
The Senior League reports that John Gebhart bowled a 228 game, 76 pins
over. 79 over was Ed Reed with a 256 game. He was also 112 pins over
his series total with a 643. Ron Candido shot 58 pins over his game
average. with a 246 and was 126 pins over his series total with a 690, and Jack
Ball rolled 53 over for a 193.
Converting their spares
were Aaron Williams, Michael Seward, and Meredith Stokes with the 5-7. Georgia
Seward knocked out the 2-7-8, Fred Fultz, the 6-7-10, and Billy McDaniel, the
5-6-10.
In MS Nail Salon action we have reports
that Isle Durbin picked apart the 5-10. Virginia Ferpotto shot a 401 series including
a 154 game. Pam Jeffers finished with a 501 series, including games of 189, and
176. Ann Minnette rolled games of 200
and 188, while Donna Rayhel had games of 194, 179, and 242 for a 615
series. Janet Starkey ended up with a
160.
Westville Ladies League has Judy Mariage
picking up the 4-5, while Alicia Rouse knocked out the 5-10.
The Friday Night Mixed League at Sycamore
Lanes has Melisha Jumps picking up the 6-7-10, Bill Shoaf, 3-8-9-10, Alen
Arnold, the 3-6-7-10. High scores for
the league were Tori Pearman, 122 over with a 256, and a 551 series. Roger
Gossett shot 65 over for a 220, while Darrell Edwards shot a 601 series with
games of 224, 196, and 181 for a 601 series.
Winding up the night was Ro
Cates, 53 over for a 218, and other games of 169, and 190 for a 577 series.
Calling all tournament directors. Want

To all League Secretaries. Think about giving your bowlers the
recognition they deserve. Think of all the high games, and series they are
