We had two, 11 strikes in
a row games reported this week. Both bowlers are in the Go Getter’s League.
Both Tony Dompe and Jim Miller achieved that goal. Miller rolled games of 187,
279, and 290 for a 756 series, 93 pins over his series average. Dompe was close
behind with a 736 average, with games of 225, 278, and 233, totaling 219 pins
over his series average.
In other Go Getter action, Houston Key
rolled 41 over for a 218. Also rolling a 218 was Jordyn Castle ,
71 over. Steve Lamb was 88 pins over with a 232, while Rick Lomax shot a 128
game, 42 pins above. Rosemary Puzey bowled a 143 game, putting her 42 pins
above.
In Senior League action, Joe Stokes bowled 69 pins over his game
average with a 191. Ernie Harvey shot 54 pins over with a 222, while Terry Bell
Jr. rolled 59 pins over with a 259. Terry also bowled a 630 series. Teddy
Carter bowled a 236 and Barb Walls bowled a 202.
Sycamore Lanes in Covington is also submitting their report. Dawn Hughes 180 game, with a 128 average, 63
over. Beth Barnes shot games of 186-157-192, for a 535 series. She rolled 46
over on the 192. Roger Gossett finished with a 211 game, 63over. Linda
Cates had a 551 series with games of 177-179-195. All 3 games were above her
average with the highest being 46 over. Finally, Travis Edwards shot a 218
game, 50 over his average.

Webb 2-4-10 while Duane Schaeffhold knocked out the 5-7.
Doug Wagner signed in this week and gave a
report on what’s happening on the bowling scene up north. They are having their
first 7-8-9 pin doubles tournament paying $540.00 on Saturday October 10, at
7pm. In addition to the bowling tournament, they are also having Karokee and DJ
service as well. As for scores here they are. The Sunday Night Mixed League is
being led by Johnny Lowe’s 736 series and 266 game followed by Doug Wagoner’s
648 and Bobby Gossett's 251 game. The
ladies are led by Karen Porth's 910 and Patty Lowe’s 566 series. Monday's
Ladies is led by Patty Lowes 215 and 579 series. Wednesday night ladies is
led by Shelia Levett's 205 and Mona Birch with a 527 Series. The Will Bruen’s
Men's league is led by Randy Hiltz’s 267, Johnny Lowe’s 266, Chad Bruen’s 716
and Brandon Hamilton’s 700 series.
Calling all tournament directors. Want
your tourney advertised? If that’s the case, just drop me a note, and we will
try and get your info out there. It would be best if you got your info to me 3
or 4 weeks in advance of that event.
When the tourney is over, don’t forget to send the results.
To all League Secretaries. Think about giving your bowlers the
recognition they deserve. Think of all the high games, and series they are
rolling?
